I had a post before this, but my eclipse is having problems like other peoples on here. When im in a low rpm and not trying to give it alot of gas it does fine but when I try to accelerate fast it missfires severely. I hooked it up to one of those hand held computers and it said cyl 1 malfunction, is that a misfire? And another thing is that my idle for my car is about 1400 rpm's, what could cause this? I cleaned my egr valve and fixed some of my vacume hoses but nothing seemed to help. And for the cyl 1 malfuction, I checked wires, looked fine, checked plugs, looks fine, replaced the cyl 1 plug, didn't hlep any. And I tested the coil and they all had spark. Could it be not getting enough spark or what? What are some things I can look at on my car for these problems? Thank you for your help!

Could it be the throttle position sensor? It has symptoms like a totall power loss when the throttle is fully engaged because it sputters, and when I punch the throttle it makes like a poping noise somewhere under the hood. Its kinda like a persons first time driving a standard. And when it idles the rpms is about 1400 when it should be like 800. When I come up to a stop sign and stop, sometimes the rpms will get hesitate for a second and I have to wait for it to go back down. Plz help!
