Hi mustangrod1,

For the 95, check the Idle Solenoid Control ( ISC or commonly known as the IAC. It could be stuck and when starting from cold, the idle would not increase as there is insufficient air getting into the intake manifold.

There are a few variants of transmission used depending on the engine type.

Is it 2.0 turbo, non turbo or 2.4 L?
Do you know the transmission code?

DTC 11/P0700, 13/P0700, 16P0605, 17/P0604 & 45/P1795: TCM FAILURE

If DTC 11/P0700, 13/P0700, 16P0605, 17/P0604 or 45/P1795 are present, record DTC and clear trouble codes. If DTC 11/P0700, 13/P0700, 16P0605, 17/P0604 or 45/P1795 reoccur, replace TCM. Retest system and ensure DTC 11/P0700, 13/P0700, 16P0605, 17/P0604 or 45/P1795 do not reoccur.

DTC 41/P0750: LOW-REVERSE SOLENOID

1. Disconnect TCM connector. Using ohmmeter, measure resistance between TCM connector terminal No. 60 and ground. See Fig. 6 . If resistance is less than 5 ohms, go to step 4 . If resistance is more than 5 ohms, disconnect solenoid and pressure switch assembly connector.

2. Measure resistance between solenoid and pressure switch assembly connector terminal No. 4 and ground. See Fig. 9 . If resistance is less than 5 ohms, go to next step. If resistance is more than 5 ohms, check and repair solenoid and pressure switch assembly connector. If connector is okay, replace solenoid and pressure switch assembly.

3. Check wiring harness between TCM connector and solenoid and pressure switch assembly connector. If wiring harness is okay, recheck trouble codes. If trouble code resets, replace TCM.

4. Measure resistance between TCM connector terminals No. 56 and No. 60. If resistance is not 1.0-3.0 ohms, go to next step. If resistance is 1.0-3.0 ohms, measure resistance between TCM connector terminals No. 13 and No. 17. If resistance is more than 5 ohms, check wiring harness between TCM connector and ground. If resistance is less than 5 ohms, check TCM connector. If connector is okay, replace TCM.

5. Disconnect solenoid and pressure switch assembly connector. Measure resistance between TCM connector terminal No. 60 and solenoid and pressure switch assembly connector terminal No. 4. See Fig. 6 and Fig. 9 . If resistance is less than 5 ohms, go to next step. If resistance is more than 5 ohms, check and repair wiring harness between TCM connector and solenoid and pressure switch assembly connector.

6. Remove transaxle relay from connector. Measure resistance between transaxle relay connector terminal No. 8 and solenoid and pressure switch assembly connector terminal No. 6. If resistance is more than 5 ohms, check and repair wiring harness between transaxle relay connector and solenoid and pressure switch assembly connector. If resistance is less than 5 ohms, replace solenoid and pressure switch assembly.

Low-Reverse Solenoid
Disconnect solenoid and pressure switch harness connector. See Fig. 2 . Measure resistance between solenoid and pressure switch terminals No. 4 and No. 6. See Fig. 9 . If resistance is not one ohm at 68 °F (20 °C), replace solenoid and pressure switch assembly.

Ok I replaced the tcm and the shift seloniods on the 98 eclipse and drove it all day with no problem then on my way to work it went back into limp mode? Is there anything else that could be wrong? Does it matter that the engine and trans is out of a 98 eagal talon?

If the engine and trans are of the same model, it would not matter.

Recheck the trouble code and see if they are similar after the shift solenoids and TCM replacement.
