Hi there,

The smoke will be smoke oil burning, how long has this been going on and when do you see it? the cooling system does run at a high pressure, this is normal, the higher the surface pressure the hight the boiling point is, so increasing the pressure allows the system to run at a temp range that will not boil, if in doubt about the pressure have the radiator cap checked, it should only hold the desired pressure then blow off, have this check.
