I just purchased an Eclipse and drove the car 30 miles before it started over heating. When I slowed down, the car shut off various lights flashed. There was smoke coming out of the hood. When I opened up the hood, I can see one of the hoses appeared to being sucked in (as in no coolant, as if it was grasping for air).

This morning, I drove the car for less than 2 miles for an oil change and it started overheating again. When I checked the hoses from the radiator, one was very warm and the other was cool. When I drove the car back home and parked, there was coolant that was leeking out.

Need to find and fix the leak. While in there replace the t-stat and the radiator cap. Might also want to have it chemical tested for a blown head gaket
