1990 Mitsubishi Eclipse Heats up

I just got my 90 eclipse, and it just started to heat up once i got home. so i changed the water pump but it will still heat up, it doesnt rev too high any more but it has started to leak and smell really bad. My mechanic doesnt know whats wrong with it.

Get it block and pressure tested to find where the leak at.
