Car would not start after making some stops. Just made purchases of new battery and starter. I turned ignation on and off about four times and the car started.
Without notice my 2001 Diamante would not shift, in all gears. What a freak situation.

Someone said the shift solonide should be changed.
Where is the shift solonide located. Is it a costly repair?

Hi raysummers,

Thank you for the donation.

When engine cannot be started, was the starter cranking?

Does the dash indicator lights turn ON when the key is turned ON?

If there are any fault with the shift solenoids, trouble codes would be stored in the PCM.

Get a scan done and let me know if there are any codes.

Shift solenoids are located inside the transmission.
