I have a 97 Mitsubishi Diamante, and it has been overheating and I replaced the thermostat and its is still running hot and now cuts off. It is not leaking any antifreeze and all the other fluid levels are full. After it cuts off there is smoke coming from under the hood. Can you please help?

change your radiator cap and take off the water pump and look at it. also what color vapor, and is there mositure in it with the smell of antifreeze?

also clean out your radiator cooling fins and make sure the fans are coming on.

bad ignition timing can cause overheating also.
