Missing on cold start after sitting overnight. Starts first go but misses for the first one minute and then will run all day okay. Does the same thing every day. After sitting for two days will be a little worse. Can you help a pensioner?

Hi and thanks for using 2CarPros.com.

There can be many things which lead to a cold engine misfire. If this vehicle truly has 470,000 miles on it, it could be related to engine compression. However, often times it is related to a worn or weak ignition component.

Take a look through this link. It discusses how to fix a misfire. Do this and let me know what you find or if you have other questions.

I will watch for your reply.

Take care,
