I installed a new alternator after the bearings went bad. The car worked fine. The next day when the car was cold, it lacked power until it was running at normal temperature again. During normal temperatures the car does not misfire, but it does when cold. What could be the problem?

Thanks

Hi,

Please understand, this vehicle isn't offered in the US, so I don't have the specifics or manuals. However, I will try my best to help.

Have you checked for engine vacuum leaks? That can cause a rough idle and stalling.

Here is a link that explains how to check:

Also, take a look at this link. You may find it helpful.

Let me know.

The car does rev but there is no power to climb the garage ramp, then when it heats up it works fine.

Hi,

By chance, did you check the engine coolant temperature sensor to see if it was disconnected?
