Misfiring

My car has done this on multiple occasions this is not the first time. It misfires, runs really rough, my check engine light is flashing. then I let it sit overnight and in the morning it drives normal again. no flashing check engine light and no rough misfire. I’ve got the idle control sensor replaced. the mechanic I took it too said that it was that. Car ran normal problem started up like I said I leave it sat and it was fine..

Please go through this guide and pull the DTC[s] and report back here with what you find out. We can go from there.

Yes the car reads coil pack and o2 sensor.

I had it ran at AutoZone, but when I took it to my mechanic he said that AutoZone lies and it needs neither of those. So I’m unsure.

Hello again,

What are the exact Direct Code numbers? The numbers will be a letter, probably a P, followed by 4 numbers, for example the DTC for number one cylinder misfire would be, P0301. Please get back to us with the exact DTC numbers and we will have specific diagnostic testing from the vehicle manufacturer to track down and fix the problem. No guessing, exact testing leading to the problem from the people who made your vehicle.
