Misfiring, code P0301

P0301 code, cylinder one. I replaced ignition coils, spark plugs, injectors, air flow, cam, crank and oxygen sensors. I did a compression test the reading is good, check cylinder 1, both ignition coils and injector harness getting voltage, ground and continuity between the Jack's to the ECU. No intake vacuum leaks. I also tried another ECU as well. I completely removed the catalytic converter years ago. A while back I had an issue with the fuel pump so I replaced it together with fuel filter some months back. After all this the car still misfiring and showing a code p0301. Any other advise I will be thankful.

Hi,

First, please understand this vehicle isn't offered in the US, but I will try my best to help.

Have you confirmed there is spark at the plug? If not, please do that even though the wiring tests are good. Here is a link that shows how that is done:

If that checks good, compression is good, and there are no leaks, it sounds like a faulty fuel injector. Have you checked to make sure it is getting power from the ECM?

Thanks, Mr Joe, yes, I am getting spark at the plugs, injectors were replaced. I am getting power, ground and I did a continuity test from the signal wire by the Jack's of the no1 injector an ignition coil to the ECM all is good. Missing always when idling and when pulling off I am getting a hesitation, otherwise the car running great an good speed.

Hi,

The next thing to check would be engine compression. If there is a variation between cylinders of more than 10%, it can cause a misfire. Usually, it is felt most at idle unless there is a big difference.

You will need a compression gauge, but most auto part stores will lend one to you. Let me know if you are comfortable performing this test.
