I have a v6 engine and I have a misfire issue low compression of 50 in cylinder number five, but all other cylinders are fine. Could it be a blown gasket or bad piston rings?

Hello, I am Danny.

If you suspect a blown head gasket have you noticed oil in the coolant (overflow tank, radiator) or coolant mixed in the crankcase oil? Also, yes a broken/defective ring(s) in a cylinder but also a problem/defect in the cylinder head as well. I have attached a tutorial link for you to get started on diagnosis. Hope this helps and please feel free to ask any questions if needed. Thanks for using 2CarPros.
