I have been battling with an engine misfire problem for several months. The engine runs rough at idle and low speeds but it seems to occasionally run smoothly when you disconnect the mass airflow meter.

I have replaced the injector nozzle fuel rail, I've had the black triangular actuator lever at the front of the intake manifold replaced because it had a slight crack. The intake manifold flaps have been checked and it seems okay. I've replaced a few coils. I've replaced the harness wires. I've replaced the mass airflow meter. I've replaced two camshaft position sensors.

Right now there is a constant misfire on 4 cylinders on bank1 driver's side (left-hand drive car). The car produces black smoke. The spark plugs on bank 1 are always covered in black soot. Fuel economy is poor.

Here are some trouble codes below:

Trouble Code(s)
P0100: Mass or Volume Air flow - Circuit Malfunction
P0100: Mass or Volume Air flow - Circuit Malfunction
P0010: Camshaft A Position Actuator A Control - Circuit open (Bank 1)
P0113: Intake Air Temperature - Circuit High Input (Bank 1 Sensor 1)

Please assist.

Kindest regards,

Muhammad

Additional information:

I have also replaced the ECU (brain box) twice. Yet, the problem still persists.
