I need a new clutch. I was told it will cost $1300. Does this sound reasonable. Right now, I cannot even drive it. I would have to get it towed if I chose another mechanic.

What all is being replaced? Just the clutch plate or the entire clutch assembly i.e. master cylinder, slave cylinder, etc..? If it is just the clutch plate then the reasonable price would be around $850 for labor and parts. If it is the plate as well as the cylinders than the $1300 is a fair price.
