1977 MG Midget Clutch

When I depress the clutch pedal, it does not come back. It only comes back part way. I can pull it all the way back up but the problem reoccurs when the clutch is used again. I checked the fluid level and it is full.

either your clutch is bad and not releasing all the way, or it's sticking on input shaft of the trans. your master could be sticking as well due to age of vehicle.
