Metal extension lost in spark plug hole

I was working on my car when a metal socket extension fell in the spark plug hole.. I can't see it. I even grabbed that small camera built for tight places. It wouldn't fit in the hole, but I could see in there a little and couldn't see the extension in there. I can't even get it with a magnet. What will I have to do to get this out??!

CAN YOU USE A WRENCH OR RATCHET TO SLOWLY TURN THE CRANKSHAFT TO MAKE THE PISTON RISE UP?

I WOULD NOT RECOMMEND TAKING IT ALL OF THE WAY TO THE TOP

A PIECE OF CLOTHES HANGER SHOVED IN THE PLUG HOLE MIGHT ALERT YOU WHEN IT NEARS THE TOP.........A BUDDY WOULD BE HELPFUL TOO!!!

WHEN IT NEARS THE TOP, MAYBE THE MAGNET WILL WORK

OTHERWISE, YOU MIGHT BE SNATCHING THE HEAD OFF

.......... PERSONALLY, I MYSELF WOULD "FISH", TILL I GOT IT OUT!!!!!

DISCONNECT YOUR BATTERY, BEFORE YOU ACCIDENTALLY ATTEMPT TO START IT

SENDING A PIC OF TURNING THE CRANK WITH A WRENCH...........THIS IS MY '77 JEEP CJ5

Ok, we got a smaller camera and saw the extension. You said to "fish it out". How would you do that?

AN AUTO PARTS STORE OR "HARBOR FRIEGHT", ETC, MAY HAVE A SMALL, STRONG, TELESCOPIC MAGNET

IF YOU CAN GET IT TURNED AND CLOSE TO THE HOLE SO THAT THE FEMALE SQUARE END IS COMING OUT 1ST, YOU MIGHT BE ABLE TO GRAB IT USING SOME REALLY SKINNY NEEDLE NOSE PLIERS OR EVEN A SET OF LONG HEMO-STATS

I HAVE FISHED WITH A 2 FOOT? LONG PIECE OF SMALL PLASTIC TUBING OR VACUUM OR FUEL LINE---SHOVE IT A FEW INCHES INTO YOUR SHOP-VAC HOSE AND DUCT TAPE IT SEALED (SORTA A MAKE SHIFT, TEMPORARY REDUCER) .......TURN ON THE VACUUM AND START FISHING!!!

IS THIS SOMETHING YOU THINK YOU CAN DO?

LET'S HEAR THE FISHING STORY.....CATCH A BIG-UN???

Well the vacuume might work but the other two things won't work.

The hole curves down into the pistons.

I FOUND THAT THE CLEAR PLASTIC HOSE (HARDWARE STORE) HAS A THINNER WALL, BASICALLY THE HOLE IS BIGGER AND SORTA GIVES YOU MORE SUCTION AREA THAN ONE WITH A SMALLER HOLE

DID YOU ROLL THE CRANK TO GET MR. PISTON CLOSER TO THE TOP???

SOME OF THOSE TELESCOPIC MAGNETS HAVE A SWIVEL HEAD.....DOWN SIDE IS IT MAY WANT TO STICK TO THE CYLINDER WALLS WHEN YOU GET IT IN, BUT IT'LL BE FINE ON THE ALUMINIUM PISTON SURFACE

JUST FOR KNOWINGS SAKE.........HOW 'ZACKLY DID YOU ACHIEVE THIS DILEMMA?...........(YOU ARE ALLOWED TO BLAME YOUNGINS OR EVIL BUDDIES....I WILL FULLY UNDERSTAND)

YA AIN'T GOT IT OUT YET???

It just fell in there. It was my luck that it perfectly fell in there.

I haven't really tried today but ill be workin hard to get it out of there.
