I have a 1993 merc. villiger, 6cyl, automatic trans, over 100k, it has always ran great. I have always noticed only in cool weather a strong fuel smell in the passenger cabin. And now it wont start on its own. If i feed it gas it wil start but will not draw the fuel from the gas tank on its own. i have never noticed any gas leaks! can anyone help what is this?

with the year being 93...check the filler tube for hole, even if no leaks on the ground, and also, turn the key on, pump in the gas tank should run for 2-3 seconds, see if you can hear this, if not check the fuel pressue with a gauge! Should be around 40psi with the key on...
