2000 Mercury Villager very little heat inside

The engine temp gets to the normal operating range but I am not getting much heat into the passenger cabin. It has the automatic climate control system but when it is on defrost or blend there is very little heat output unless I put the temp up to 90 and the blower on full blast.

Suspect heater core
Should have it flushed
Have to isolate heater core from coolant system and flush
