2000 Mercury Villager dash borad light

the light goes off and on. it says Barke with a samll "i" and "p" on top of of the word brake. I am not sure what break does it reffer to, and why it is on. Any Idea? may thanks.

Check the master cylender to make sure it isn't low on fluid.
