Several months ago I had a front end brake job done on my wife's '99 Mercury Villager minivan by a local mechanic. He replaced the pads, as well as the rotors. The day I got the car back from the shop I could smell something burning, and I checked the repair, and found the discs to be very hot to the touch. I called the repair shop and was told this was normal. Now several months later my wife says she still smells something burning, and I again checked the rotors and found them to be very hot. And I ony drove it a short distance. Is this normal? Or should I bring the van back to the mechanic, and have him check it out?
