Since we had this cold snap of -25 below zero I had a gas smell coming through the vents while driving it is not so strong but when idling and not moving it gets very strong this is the first time this happen. All summer long no problems at all. I also have a converter shield vibrating while the engine is on. Can you help me please.

Hi there, thank you for the donation,

Check the engine fuel system, mainly around the injectors and filter as seals may contract with the extreme cold causing a leak, with the heat shield rattle, there may be a missing locating bolt or it may well be cracked and need replacing or welding up, this can be look at by your mechanic.

Hi there,

I would be worth checking this out just to be on the safe side, you may see a staining around where any leak has been.
