fuel leak from my gas tank

i have 1992 model mercury tracer. its mileage is 134,800.
recently i noticed a leak from my gas tank. can i use some kind of adhesive to seal the leak in the plastic gas tank? if not what is the cost to replace a new tank and how long will it take to replace it?

yes there is various things you can use, but remember if it went out once that means its weak and chances are it will happen again.

my dad swore by the stuff called seal-all can be found at auto parts store that is the best i have ever used for gas tank repair also, try that but a new tank wouldnt hurt.
