1999 Mercury Tracer Front Wheel Drive Automatic 155000 miles

my car starts fine but when put in drive it sounds like it wants to die and also when i come to a stop it start idleing funny like it wants to die

Sounds like the idle air control(IAC) it's bolted to the side of the throttle body.
