Engine Cooling problem
1998 Mercury Tracer 4 cyl Front Wheel Drive Automatic

engine overheating. changed thermostat, fan not operating, jumpered fan to operate but still overheating. What all does the fan relay control? is it a bad water pump?

Hi there,

I would be getting the radiator checked for a blockage, and also checking for any external coolant leaks and have the pressure cap checked, start here.
