So I read somewhere that I must have knocked my trunk tension rods out of their places. My trunk lid wont stay up now. I was wondering how I can fix this? I also heard that they are hard to do and that I should just take my car to the body shop and have them fix it. But how much approx of course would some place charge for that? just the labor right?

I can't find a labor time listing for the trunk spring's but it shouldn't be more then 1hr labor Time's 80-100 per hr?I think though more then likely you have a broken spring's versus a spring that came out of place.Once those spring's are in there they really can't move around. If you look up inside the trunk you should be able to see if you have a broken spring.I would take it somewhere to be replaced though. Those spring's can be pretty dangerous.
