This sounds like you might have an issue with the radiator cooling fans.

When you are at stop there is little to no air blow thru the radiator as the fan might not be functional, so the engine overheats, but as you drive the air get through the radiator and cools down the engine.

Check to see if the fan is coming on when the engine is at operating temperature and running. An inoperative fan can be due to a bad fan relay, wiring or a bad motor. It can also be caused by a faulty coolant temperature sensor. Where the sensor does not provide the correct signal to turn on the fan.
First check the relay. It is located under the hood in the main fuse box (see diagram).
Visually inspect the relay for corrosion or bunt pin(s).
