1999 Mercury Station Wagon check engine light and ABS light

I just purchased a used 1999 mercury sable ls station wagon i only had it for 1 week the check engine light also the ABS light stay on I had a reading done @ autozone and the code PO401 says that it is The EGR system I really feel like taking the car back because i should not have this problem after purchasing this car can you please give me some suggestions on how to solve this problem

your right, bring it back and have them fix it. they will usually do it because it happened so fast, it probably was always there, and they just cleared it, sometimes it takes several days for it to come back on.
