HI, I HAVE A 1998 MERCURY SABLE WITH 142,000 KM ON IT. IT RUNS FAIRLY WELL, BUT IT SEEMS TO HESITATE WHEN ACCELARATING, AND WHEN I AM AT A STOP LIGHT OR A STOP SIGN, BASICALLY WHEN I AM NOT MOVING BUT STILL IN GEAR, IT SEEMS TO JERK THE CAR ALITTLE BIT, LIKE IT WANTS TO MOVE. ALSO HAS A STUTTER WHEN IN IDOL. I TRYED REPLACING MY SPARK PLUGS, THAT DID NOT HELP, WHAT COULD THIS BE?

Have you done any other maintenence?
Replace the plug wires, run fuel injector cleaner, replace the air cleaner, replace the fuel filter, and maybe even replace the PCV valve.

Are there any codes (check engine light) set?

HI, I DO HAVE THE CHECK ENGINE LIGHT ON, BUT I AM UNSURE OF HOW TO SEE WHAT CODE IT IS OR WHAT IT IS FOR, BUT I HAVE CHANGED THE PLUGS AND RUN FUEL INJECTORE CLEANER, I WILL CHANGE THE WIRES AND FILTERES AND SEE WHAT THAT DOES,
