1987 Mercury Sable 3.0 liter, approx. milage 80,000 miles, driven for 6 and half miles then dies. Once engine gets warm it dies and won't start again until cooled. Have changed every sensor, gas pump, fuel filter, fuel pressure regulator, changed both computers, engine coolant temperature sensor, distributor. Can you help use in diagnosing this problem?

Not sure how your going about troubleshooting but you need to do testing while the car is not starting. Need to narrow down if you are losing spark or fuel or both.

What kind of test equiptment are you using?

We are losing fuel pressure to the injector rail. We have fuel when it starts, when it dies it has no fuel to injector rail.

I kinda wondered about that myself,

Is the fuel pressure holding for 60 seconds?

For the heck of it did you check/reset the inertia switch in the trunk?
