I have had to replace my starter 3 times so far, I have owned this car for only 2 and 1/2 years. Isn't that excessive? When does the "lemon law " apply?

Yes that is excessive. Have you replaced it with a factory starter or aftermarket? Also, as far as the lemon law, the dealer has three chances to repair the problem and it must be an item that can cause danger to the driver / passanger. For example, if the brakes were non-repairable.

If you replaced it this time with a factory (new one) it should last longer. Many times the parts stores sell remanufactured ones that just don't hold up.

See if this one last longer. If it doesn't, let me know. This posting will always be here so you can recontact me this way.
