I was told I need to replace camshaft synchronize sensor because my car is making a chirping noise (not all the time....yet) My question is do I need to do this right away? Because the repair cost is $500 I will need to save for a couple of weeks.

sensors are extremely hard to predict lifespan for. it can really go completely out at any time. the more you run the more you are gambling on it not failing. other than a possible break down on the road, it will not do any further damage to vehicle by driving it like this
