2003 Mercury Sable Rough idle when in gear

We have a 2003 Sable that suddenly started misfiring and idling rough. The check engine light finally came on and the garage replaced injector o-ring. However it still runs rough when stopped at a stop light but runs smooth if put in neutral. Please help. The garage said it needs a 60000 mile checkup and that would fix it. I am not convinced as they charged us $140 for the last repair they did and the o-ring cost only $8 of that.
