2002 Mercury Sable Coolant light will not go off.

My coolant resevoir is full and the raditator is not pulling any fluid from the tank. It does not overheat and the heat is working fine as I just replaced the thermostat. ANy help would be appreciated.

could be dirty or faulty coolant level sensor
