My nephew just bought a 2002 Mercury Sable that rode a little rough. When you accelerate sometimes it feels like you are going over small bumps in the road - most evident around 2000rpm. I just put four new tires on for him and the steering wheel doesn't shake at all so I'm sure the tires are balanced correctly. The car doesn't shift hard or slip at all when shifting. I observed the engine at high rpm and it doesn't shake or move around at all. Any idea what might be causing this?
