2001 Mercury Sable turns cold

Heater works fine for about 10 seconds then slowly starts turning cool until it just blows cold air. If I turn it off and wait a few minutes it will repeat the process. Blower motor works fine

Is the engine running at a normal operating temp? As far as the heat, when it gets cool, I need you to feel both heater core hoses. Is one hot and the other cool? Do this when the engine is running.

Let me know what you find.
