2001 Mercury Sable Low Coolant light comes on - coolant not

My low coolant light is coming on, but the coolant level is good and the temperature remains normal. I cannot find the sensor. Chiltons schematic shows the low coolant light connected to a unit called a General Electric Module, but no mention of where this module is elsewhere in the book.

Check plastic tank on the fender
it should have switch at the bottom of it
make sure is working
