2001 Mercury Sable Automatic 79000 miles

my car makes a chirping sound when it runs. i notice it when i start it, and while i am driving as well. it sounds like it is coming from the righthand side of car, but i honestly can't tell. i can't hear it from inside of car when i highway - only when i just start it or when i am outside of car.
