2001 Mercury Sable Brakes don't work!

Hi my 2001 Mercury Sable has a brake problem. The first 5 Miles he runs fine, but after that the brake don't work. I can step to the floor and it brakes only a little. The brake fluid is full. What can it be?

Quit driving it-check the brake master cylinder could be leaking internally due to seals/cups-
