2000 Mercury Sable trans leak

i have had the fluiid changed and replaced the pan and gasket. i noticed a leak after that and was told that the transmission case was leaking. is this transaxle 2- pieces? and i was told it woud be big money to fix the seal. car runs great.

Depends on which seal it is. Some require the trans to be removed from the car, which ups the price considerably.Did they say exactly which seal ? I dont think the case is 2 pieces.
