1999 mercury sable sedan, 119000 miles. The trunk light indicatior on the dashboard remains on after opening the trunk then suddenly it goes off at different times. thanks and keep up the good and very helpful help!

Trunk switch and latch need to be checked and adjusted
try and spray some penetrating oil in the latch 1st
and slap close the trunk few times
