Speedometer

My son hooked up some high powered speakers to this car and they did something wrong. everything electronic started going out, so I had him remove the speaker system and put everything back to normal. everything returned to the original state, except for the radio, which is now dead, and the speedometer. I understand the possibility of the radio issue, but what does the speedometer have to do with anything electronic. Isn't it all mechanical on this model? Any suggestions on where to look?

your vehicle uses a sensor (VSS) to control the speedometer. The vehicle speed sensor (VSS) is located on the trans axle check out the diagrams below.

Check out the diagrams (Below). Please let us know if you need anything else to get the problem fixed.
