Recently, when I drive for 30 mins or more, and generally, when it is warm, if I am idle, parking, stuck in traffic, the engine dies. When I try to start, just shows red light "service engine". If I wait until the car cools, then it starts again, and I am good to drive as long as I am moving. Took it to a Mercury Dealership in MD, they kept it overnight, only to tell me that everything checked out fine. It is really frustrating, as I cannot pinpoint the problem, and it has happened now 3 times. Obviously there is something wrong, but maybe when they checked they didn't leave the engine running long enough for it to happen? What do you think it is?
Thx
