1999 Mercury Sable brakes just aren't working

i need to check my brake fluid case everytime i push my brake they don't work...sadly i only have experience working on trucks and equipment...anyone know where the fluid holder

Find the brake master cylinder and inspect the fluid level. If low fill it and bleed the brakes-don't work-open up all the brakes and inspect for wear and tear.
