Transmission problem
1998 Mercury Sable 6 cyl Two Wheel Drive Automatic 142K miles
----------------------------------------------------------------
My automatic transmissin needs to be replaced. I am going to do this myself. So my question is will I have to pull the engine or can I just drop the tranny via a floor jack?

I don't envy your chore. We support the engine and drop the cradle to get it out. The link in my signature goes to a manual that may be helpful.
