I have changed the valve cover gaskets on my 1998 mercury sable with 24v DOHC engine but continue to have an oil leak on the driver side. Are there any other seals on the back side of the engine? The car runs great, knock on wood, but the oil leak is leaving tennis ball size leak marks on the ground every day. Could this be the oil pan? It does not seem to be leaking at that location by sight but maybe I just can't see it. Any suggestions?

Could be the oil sender switch. Not sure where is on this engine but check around oil filter if you see a wire connected a round thing scred into block that would be the sender.
Hope this helps
