Computer problem
1998 Mercury Sable 6 cyl Front Wheel Drive Automatic

Started car yesterday morning then died. Battery light came on and we heard a click click click when trying to start. Bought a new battery everything was fine. Then this morning on the way to work the dashboard light up with all lights then went completely dead. Waited 10 min and it started like nothing was wrong.
Any help on this matter would be appreciated.

Start engine and check battery volts as engine running
with and without load (load is when you turn light on and radio, wipers and so on )
if volts below 13.5 suspect alternator
check fuses and wiring
