1998 Mercury Sable My car alarm goes off for no reason and

If I'm not around the alarm goes off until the battery is dead. At night the alarm can go off every 1/2 hour or less waking my neighbors and I at about 1:00-3:00 in the morning.

Its one of the door switches
1st try and spray penetrating oil in door latches
most common to be is the drive door
open and close door few times and spray again
scanner tool should also help in the diagnose if have one
