1998 Mercury Sable Is this likely my battery?

1998 MERCURY SABLE
120,000 MILES • 6 CYL • FWD • AUTOMATIC

All was fine (including all winter), until suddenly the car would not start (the clicking sound.) However, the lights, horn, etc. were working.

Next day: Everything was totally dead.

Is this likely the battery?

Start with having the battery load tested and get the alternator charge rate checked, start here.

Taking out 2 birds at one time get both the battery and alternator load tested.
