1998 Mercury Sable brakes

About three weeks ago I had new brakes put on my car. The first day they seemed fine. Since the day after to now, they have been squeeking, progressively getting worse. Now they sound like they are grinding again. Whats wrong?

Sometimes when brake pads have been replaced it will cause a brake caliper to stick. This will cause the pad to wear out very fast as if you were riding your brake pedal everywhere you went. If its been like this for a couple of days then it is probably the caliper causing this issue.
