Shakes or Wobbles problem
1998 Mercury Sable 6 cyl Automatic 126000 miles

My car has been shaking/ vibrating at all speeds for about the last two months. I went and had the tires balanced and rotated and it didn't help at all. I need to get the rear brakes replaced (most likely this weekend) but would that cause the whole car to shake? It shakes at all speeds, but going above 60mph is out of the question- it feels as though the whole car is just going to come apart. Any advice would be greatly appreciated. Thanks and God bless!

Maybe Cv joints any clicking while turning? Does dash shake? Seat shake?If yes inboard CV joint.

There is no clicking while turning, though I've noticed that it sometimes creaks a little when I turn. The WHOLE car shakes/ vibrates- the dash, the seat- the faster I go, the more it shakes. And idea how much it would cost to repair the CV joints? Thanks!

@$259 to $350 the tire shop could check it out for you
